Anyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy living in Waxhaw!
I love the walk-ability, the historic buildings and all of the mom and pop stores and restaurants plus there are many outdoor and recreational activities close-by.
To show you more of my little town, I am compiling a list of my top 10 favorite things to do and see in Waxhaw.
#9: Take a midday jog or hike to South Carolina and back on the Carolina Thread Trail. Access is easy through Nesbit Park and once on the trail the hiker is immediately enveloped by the quiet solitude and cool shade of lush tree canopy and can follow the meandering Twelve Mile Creek to the suspension bridge that crosses into South Carolina. You can go for miles or take a break and have a picnic lunch on one of the benches along the way. It’s the perfect respite from a busy day.
