Anyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy living in Waxhaw!
I love the walk-ability, the historic buildings and all of the mom and pop stores and restaurants plus there are many outdoor and recreational activities close-by.
To show you more of my little town, I am compiling a list of my top 10 favorite things to do and see in Waxhaw.

Do something horse-y!
Did you know Union County has more horses per capita than any other county in North Carolina?!
In Waxhaw we have many equestrian pursuits: from spectating at the Queen’s Cup Steeplechase every spring to riding or lessoning at one of our various show barns to volunteering at a therapeutic barn like @miteyriders…and everything in between! We even have our own quaint tack shop downtown with its wares housed in an old mule barn from the 1800’s. (Back in the olden days the mules were used to offload goods delivered by the train). In addition we have many horse properties in the area – both large and small and it is always a pleasure to drive around the countryside and look at the myriad properties as well as all of the horses!
